Have you received an email that looks like the following?
"From: HoefsN@pbso.org Date: Mon, 01 Mar 2010 14:34:58 -0500 To: ithelpdesk@kettering.edu Subject: Your mailbox has exceeded the storage limit Your mailbox has exceeded the storage limit which is 20GB as set by your administrator, you are currently running on 20.9GB, you may not be able to send or receive new mail until you re-validate your mailbox. To re-validate your mailbox please CLICK HERE: Thanks System Administrator"
Emails requesting passwords are universally fake. According to Kettering IT, the university will never ask a user to send their password in via email. The above message takes various forms, frequently posing as a message from the university administration or IT.
